In July 2011, Anja held "Open :Haus", Buffalo's first ever art show designed to sell a commercial property. It was a success, not only did the building sell, but over $500 worth of artwork was sold as well.

Anja volunteers regularly at Evergreen Health Services reaching out to underrepresented teens and young adults.

Anja was always interested in housing but became seriously intrigued during the housing crisis of ‘07 and ‘08. She decided to pursue a career in real estate because she wanted to be a part of the solution.
