Roy E. Bucher, Jr.-Chairman, President & Treasurer
Businesses and organizations throughout the mid-Atlantic have relied on Roy's expertise and advocacy for more than 30 years. Notably, he's lent his industry knowledge to a number of insurance advisory counsels and has been influential in passing key industry legislation.
Since joining the firm as Marketing Manager in 1977, Roy has held many critical positions within the organization. A little over a decade after the agency associated with a national insurance broker, Roy negotiated a deal that would bring the agency back under local ownership and management. He also was instrumental in creating the ESOP, knowing employee-owners would continue to support Lunsford's mission to provide the best client experience to their customers.
In addition to serving as President, Roy became Chairman of the Board and Treasurer with ultimate responsibility for company operations. Roy runs the company on a simple philosophy: "treat everybody well -- clients, community, colleagues, insurance companies and our industry." The result is a well respected and prospering agency with a history of integrity and goodwill.
