Then & Now

MAPFRE USA originated in Massachusetts as The Commerce Group, Inc. (CGI), founded in the town of Webster, Massachusetts in 1972. In 2008, CGI was acquired by MAPFRE S.A. a global organization and leading insurer that maintains a presence in over 40 countries around the world. In 2010, The Commerce Group, Inc. was renamed MAPFRE USA.
