We are a privately owned Independent Insurance Agency located in Mercer Island, Washington. The Agency represents major insurance companies in the State of Washington and supplies high quality insurance policies. In addition to great rates we offer courteous and prompt service for all of our customers.

We are a privately owned family insurance agency that sold our first policy in 1949. Jim Hale was an airline pilot that started his business by selling insurance to his fellow pilots. His daughters Maureen and Sharon thought up the name Skyway Security Insurance in the mid 1960's when Jim had enough clients to start his own agency. His son-in-law Pat McGill and his son (also named) Jim Hale, joined the team in the 1980's. These people along with many dedicated employees and agents have built the agency to where we are today.

Jim Hale and his wife Virginia purchased the business in 1987 and have continued to build a strong service oriented insurance agency to provide for the surrounding communities.
