Our History - Your Neighbor for 90 Years

The Fodor Company began in 1916 as a residential realty broker, serving West-Side ethnic residents who were just beginning to set roots in Cleveland. In the course of its almost 90 years in the same location, Fodor has helped more than 75,000 homeowners throughout Greater Cleveland buy or sell their homes.

Our office is located on Lorain Avenue, eight blocks from the West Side Market, and on the same block where we first opened for business in 1916.

The Fodor Companies leases apartments to its Cleveland, Parma, Brooklyn, and Lakewood neighbors. There are over 40 tenants who have lived in the same apartment for 15 years or more; we are especially proud of the 10 or so residents who have enjoyed their homes for more than 30 years. They can tell you the benefits of living in an owner-managed apartment; with quick, personal responses to questions and concerns.
