The Harshman Law Firm, LLC was established in June 2004. The office is located in the historic River Market area, just North of downtown in the Delaware Lofts building. Casual and relaxed describes the office and the people who work there, kids are welcome in the office! We offer our clients individual attention and cost effective representation.

Joani W. Harshman primarily practices in the areas of Bankruptcy, Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, and Traffic Violations. Joani is from the Northland area of Kansas City. She attended law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, graduating in the top third of her class.

While in law school Joani gained valuable experience working for a plaintiff's firm, a defense firm, and interning with the Public Defender's office in Jackson County. After graduating in 2000, Joani worked downtown for a civil defense firm, then moved on to work in the Northland at two different plaintiff's firms before starting her own practice, The Harshman Law Firm, LLC, in June 2004. She is currently licensed in both Missouri and Kansas. As a mother of two young children, Joani understands the struggle to balance family and the rest of life. Her primary area of practice is Bankruptcy and she prides herself on the personal attention her clients receive.
